make a meaningful difference

Executive Director Katy Johansson gets ready to greet state workers at last week's Combined Fund Drive Charity Fair.

State workers can support us through Combined Fund Drive

Hundreds of charity-minded state workers braved the heat last week to learn about the important work that dozens of participating local nonprofits are doing in our community.

We were thrilled to take part in the Combined Fund Drive (CFD) Charity Fair, especially because it was held in person for the first time in three years (thanks to you-know-what).

Through the CFD, state workers can make an ongoing or one-time to donation directly from their paycheck to more than 4,500 nonprofits, including the Olympia Education Foundation.

If you are an active or retired state worker and want to support our work to empower every student -- through the Principal's Emergency Fund, Teaching & Learning Grants, and Mental Health Initiative -- click the button below. Our CFD number is 0315734.

Olympia School District employees can also make an ongoing gift through Automatic Payroll Deduction. We'll be sharing more details about this in the fall!

our breakfast is back

Join us Oct. 13!

We'll be back at the PAC this fall! Mark your calendar for our annual breakfast, which will feature Left Bank pastries again, as well as a short program about the work we do to empower students.

We'll share more details in the coming weeks about this complimentary event. This year's will be extra special in celebration of our 25th anniversary!

If you are interested in volunteering, sponsoring, attending or organizing a group to attend with you, contact events@olyedfoundation.org today!

golf for a good cause

Just a few spots left in our golf scramble!

Get a team of four together and join us Friday, Aug. 18, at the Olympia Country & Golf Club for the Olympia Education Foundation Scramble! (Use the "register a team" button below, then select "view available tickets.")

All proceeds from this incredibly fun day benefit the Principal's Emergency Fund -- and all of our work to empower every student!

Sponsorships -- most of which include a team of four -- are also available.

Don't delay! Teams must be registered by Monday, Aug. 7!

community connection

Thank you to AAA Washington for your support of our Principal's Emergency Fund earlier this year. And thank you to our friends at their Olympia store for hosting a supply drive through Aug. 31 to assist local students. Please consider picking something up the next time you are out shopping. Donations can be dropped off during their normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The store is located at 2627 Capital Mall Drive S.W.
